Sue studied at Tyler School of Art earning a BFA and spent about 20 years as a graphic designer and illustrator in New York City. She then became an art teacher and taught high school art in Westchester County while painting in her spare time. Sue now paints full time using mainly oils, and love exploring light and color with a variety of still life objects. The reflective and transparent qualities of glass have particularly intrigues her. She also loves the rich textures and brilliant colors found in food, as well as the humorous and nostalgic emotions these objects evoke.
